We collect only what you send us when you get in touch, we use it to answer you and to do the work, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone who does not need it.

What we collect
When you contact us, we hold what you choose to tell us: your name, your phone number, your email address, the address of the property or site, and anything you tell us about the work.
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google the pages you view, roughly where you are (city level), and the type of device and browser you use. It does not collect your name or contact details, and we do not use it for advertising. You can block it with your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
This website does not load fonts, maps or videos from other companies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include the IP address of the device making the request, for security and troubleshooting.
We do not collect sensitive information, and we do not ask for payment details through this website.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry and quote on work. To carry out the work and manage the project. To keep the records a builder has to keep. And to contact you about work we are doing or have done for you.
We do not send marketing emails from this website.
Who else sees it
Our team, and the subcontractors and suppliers working on your project, each of them only what they need to do their part. Our accountant and our insurers where that is necessary. The companies that host our website and our email. And anyone we are required by law to give it to.
We do not sell your information and we do not give it to anyone for advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are kept while they are current and then deleted. Project records are kept for as long as the law requires a builder to keep them, and then deleted.
Getting a copy, or asking us to correct or delete it
Email info@buildmarq.com.au and ask. We will confirm who you are and then send you what we hold, correct it, or delete it where we are allowed to. There is no charge for a reasonable request.
If something goes wrong
If you think we have mishandled your information, email info@buildmarq.com.au and we will look into it and write back. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top.
